Chrome: How to enable Read Later

With release number 86, Chrome released a new feature called Read on later. It was inserted in the last one browser update, released at the beginning of October, but given its hidden position within the experimental features menu it was not immediately noticed, despite the valuable help provided in navigation.

The Read Later function had already been anticipated for a few months but then, thanks to the presence of other features of greater weight, it was partly over into oblivion. Yet, a feature of this kind has been expected for a long time, especially in light of the fact that other competitors have already chosen to introduce it for some time. Let's talk about Microsoft Edge and its old function Tabs apart (Set Aside in the English version) or application Pocket di Firefox, which allows you to manage a list of articles and videos saved from the network in order to be viewed later. So far, users of Google Chrome who wanted to do the same had to rely on a third-party add-on but, apparently, the expected moment has come: let's see how it works.

Chrome: How to activate Read Later

The Read Later function, which as anticipated is not enabled by default on the browser but it requires a specific action to start using it, it is present among the Flags, Or the experimental features present on Chrome but still inactive. To access the list, you need to enter the link chrome: // flags / # read-later in the address bar and press Enter.

Once reached, the page will show a feature list experimental in which the one in question is present in the first place, therefore easy to find. In the drop-down menu on the right of the wording, you can select the item Enabled, ie “activate.” Chrome will then ask you to restart your browser for the change to take effect and the new functionality to be used.
