The new GoPro Quik app //
GoPro camera users know it well: the easiest way to retrieve and share your videos on the fly is through the Quik application on your smartphone. Offered on Android and iOS, the application is benefiting from a major update this Wednesday.

This revised and corrected version of Quik will thus allow all users to edit and share their video sequences, whether they were filmed with the GoPro or not. The application makes it possible to recover the photos and videos that you have captured directly to the smartphone in addition to those filmed with a manufacturer's camera.
Many editing parameters to edit your videos
Once the different video sequences have been selected, you can choose to leave completely the hand to the application. Quik will automatically suggest a video editing style for you, both for the music and for the transitions or the font of the different titles. You can also choose the length of the final video or the video export format, 16: 9, 4: 3, 1: 1, 3: 4 or 9:16. Obviously, these various parameters can be modified manually.
It is thus possible to choose from 13 themes - each one can be personalized to modify in particular the font or the transitions - among 13 proposed musics - without counting those which you have on your smartphone and the GoPro catalog - but also to modify the duration of each sequence. The different sequences can also be edited to modify the exposure, the contrast, the shadows, the highlights, but also the speed or the frame. The application also allows to add a text field overlaying the image.
All in all, the application offers a rather intuitive editing system, without too much superfluity, but with the essential functions that one would expect from a solution of this type.
A subscription to enjoy the full application
In addition to editing and editing functions, Quik also offers unlimited storage of photos and videos in the cloud. All the video sequences and all the images that you will have used in the GoPro application can thus be saved automatically. However, this feature comes at a cost, since it is part of the GoPro subscription. For users who have already subscribed to this offer, these functions are therefore supported by the subscription. The others can however take out a subscription at the price of 1,99 euros per month or 9,99 euros per year.

Downloading the Quik app is therefore free with a trial period. However, to take full advantage of it, users will have to take out a subscription at 2 euros per month or 10 euros per year. Subscribers to the GoPro offer will be able to take advantage of it for free.
The Quik application has been available since Wednesday on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
