How to connect PayPal to Twitch for donations
All you need to do to connect PayPal to Twitch and receiving donations from your viewers is to create a profile to receive money on PayPal and add it in the section Information of your Twitch channel. Alternatively, there are more professional solutions that allow you to create real pages dedicated to donations.
In the first case, connected to the main PayPal page, click on the button Log in, enter the data associated with your account in the fields Email or mobile number e Password and firstly your pulse Log in, to log into PayPal.
Once this is done, click on the option Send and request located in the top menu, select the tab Request and press on the items Create your PayPal.Me link e Create a PayPal.Me profile, to proceed with the creation of a useful link to receive donations. Now, if you wish, upload a photo of yourself by pressing the button Aggiungi photo, enter the name to display in your profile URL PayPal.Me in the field Choose your link and press pulsating NEXT.
Finally, put the check mark necessary to accept the terms of service and click on the button Accept and create, to create your PayPal.Me profile. Then select the option Manage your profile, fai clic sull'icona della arrow and press on the item Copy link, to copy the newly created link.
At this point, connected to the official Twitch site and, if you have not already done so, log in to your account: then click on the button Log in located at the top right, enter your data in the fields Username e Password and firstly your pulse Log in.
Now, click on yours photo located at the top right, choose the option Channel from the menu that opens and, in the new screen displayed, select the item Information. With that done, move the toggle next to the option Edit panes da OFF a ON, click here + and select the item Add a text or image frame.
Then enter the name of the tile (Eg. Donate) in the appropriate field, click on the button Image, to upload any image to use as a banner for donations (in this regard, my guide on how to create a banner for Twitch may be useful), enter the link relating to PayPal copied earlier in the field Image linked to and press pulsating Send, to add the donation box to your Twitch channel.
As mentioned above, there are also professional tools that allow you not only to put alerts on Twitch and manage your streams, but also to create a personalized page dedicated to donations. Among the first tools that I recommend you try is StreamElements, a free service that provides a set of tools to create alerts, manage donations and much more.
To create a donations page with StreamElements, connected to the official website of the service, click on the button Login, at the top right, select the option Twitch and, if necessary, enter your Twitch account details to link it to StreamElements.
At this point, click on the ☰ button, at the top left, select the option Donation settings from the menu that opens and, in the new screen that appears, locate the item Connect payment methods to start receiving donations. Then enter the email address associated with your PayPal account in the field Enter your PayPal email and click on the button Fellow worker, to connect the two services.
Once this is done, choose one of the ready-to-use banners related to donations or upload a personalized image from your computer, click on the button Check it out related to the link of your donations page on StreamElements and click on the option Done.
At this point, go back to the section Donation settings StreamElements and click on the options Page settings, Appearance e Donation moderation, to personalize your donations page. Once this is done, press on the item Donation panel settings, copy the link of the page in question and create a new box in the section Information of your Twitch channel, as I indicated above for your PayPal.Me profile. Please note that it is also possible to create a donations page with Streamlabs, a software that allows you to stream on Twitch and better manage your lives by configuring chats, donations, interactions with followers and more. In this case, however, you must have a PayPal Business account.
If, on the other hand, you are wondering if it is possible to do all this from smartphones and tablets, you should know that through the PayPal app for Android and iOS / iPadOS it is possible to create a PayPal.Me profile, while to create a donations page on StreamElements you need to use the browser installed on your device (eg. Chrome your android e Safari on iPhone / iPad): in both cases, the procedure is identical to what I indicated above.
Unfortunately, however, the Twitch app for Android devices (also available on alternative stores, for devices without Google services) and iPhone / iPad does not allow you to create and manage your own channel tiles. The only way to do this, at least at the time of writing this guide, is to connect to Twitch from a browser, activating the desktop view of the site.
To do this, start the web browser you usually use to browse the Internet and connect to the official Twitch site. Now, if for example you are using Chrome on Android, tap on the icon of three dots located at the top right and select the option Desktop site from the menu that opens. If, on the other hand, you have an iPhone / iPad and are using Safari, premium sull'icona AA placed in the address bar and press on the item Request desktop site.
At this point, all you have to do is log in to your account and follow the instructions I gave you previously to create a box on Twitch from your computer.
How to connect PayPal to Twitch for affiliations
If you are Twitch affiliate and you are wondering how to receive payments resulting from the activation of subscriptions to your channel and the donation of bits by your viewers, you must know that your general information, your tax information and the choice of payment method to associate with Twitch you have already provided them during the registration process for the affiliate program of the famous video streaming platform.
However, if during registration you have chosen to receive your payments on a payment method other than PayPal (eg. direct credit to the current account, Bank transfer etc.) and would like to change it, you can do so by accessing the section Affiliated of your Twitch channel.
To proceed from computer, then connected to the Twitch main page, log in to your account, press on yours photoat the top right, and select the option Author dashboard from the menu that opens. In the new screen that appears, click on the entry Affiliated located in the sidebar on the left and choose the option Change payment method.
At this point, make sure your data is on the screen Enter your information are correct and click on the button Following. Once this is done, click on payment method you have associated with Twitch while registering for the Affiliate Program, select the option PayPal in the drop-down menu Select a payment method and enter the data associated with your PayPal account.
Infine, click your button Following and that's it: the message You have everything set up. Payments will be made according to your choices, will confirm that you have saved your changes and that you have successfully linked PayPal to Twitch to receive payments.
Again, if you prefer to proceed da smartphone or tablet, you need to connect to the Twitch main page and activate the desktop view of the site. Once this is done, the procedure for changing the payment method associated with your affiliate account on Twitch is identical to what I just indicated to do it from a computer.
How to connect PayPal to Twitch for payments
Be your intention è connect PayPal to Twitch for payments on the famous platform owned by Amazon, all you have to do is start the procedure for the purchase of bits or for the activation of a subscription to a Twitch channel: by doing so, you can choose to pay with PayPal and select the option to associate your account with Twitch.
To proceed from computer, connect to the Twitch main page and, if you haven't already, log in to your account. Now, click on the button Buy bit, at the top right, click on the button for the price of the package of bits you intend to purchase (eg. 100 bit, 300 bit, 500 bit etc.) and, in the new screen that appears, select the option PayPal.
At this point, enter the data associated with your PayPal account in the fields Email or mobile number e Passwordclick on your button Log in, select the payment method (e.g. a credit / debit card or a bank account) associated with your PayPal account and press the buttons Continue e Accetta and continue, to link PayPal to Twitch. Finally, if you want to complete the purchase of the bit pack you chose above, select the option Complete the purchase And that's it.
Similarly, you can also proceed by activating a subscription to a Twitch channel of your interest. In this case, go to the main screen of the channel in question, click on the button Subscribe twice in a row and, in the section Pay with, select the option PayPal. Then enter the details of your PayPal account, press the buttons Continue e Accetta and continue, to connect PayPal and Twitch and click on the item Complete the purchase, to activate your subscription to the Twitch channel you chose earlier.
At any time, you can disconnect the two services by accessing the section Wallet of your Twitch account. Then press on yours photo, at the top right, select the option Wallet from the opened menu and, in the new screen displayed, locate the section Payment methods saved.
Then click on the option Delete relative to PayPal and press again on the item Delete, to confirm your intention and disconnect PayPal from Twitch.
