The social network Facebook updates its Android application.
In a nutshell, Facebook Messenger is a complementary application to the basic Facebook application which allows you to consult your instant messaging in two steps.
While this latest upgrade is still quite minor, it does include an important new feature that allows you to call friends for free from within the app. For the moment only reserved in Canada, Facebook declares that this feature will be available in other countries in a few weeks without giving a precise date (including occasionally Spain).
As for the other features, here they are:
- Updates to group conversations
- Name a group directly from the top of your conversation
- Access your group conversations with a single tap: swipe left to view them in the sidebar
- Call your friends for free directly from Messenger. (Canada)*
* Free call uses your existing data plan and will be available in select countries in the coming weeks
