Google Maps saves the history of all the places you have visited. A gold mine to track all your movements, regardless of the mode of transport used. Android: how to delete Google Maps history
Delete places and routes
To delete only a few places and routes visited in Google Maps:
- Open Google Maps
- touch ☰> Your Trips
- Choose a history entry to delete
- touch Remove
Delete a day
To delete a day in Google Maps:
- Open Google Maps
- touch ☰> Your Trips
- Touch? (top right) then select the day to delete
- touch ⋮> Delete the day
Delete all history
To completely delete Google Maps history:
- Open Google Maps
- touch ☰> Your Trips
- touch ⋮> Settings
- Go to Location settings and touch Delete location history
If you wish, you can also deactivate the location history of Google Maps to make sure you never get tracked again. To deactivate this history it is also very simple:
- Open Google Maps
- touch ☰> Your Trips
- touch ⋮> Settings
- Deactivate Position History et Position update
