I virus run fast on the net but, despite attempts to avoid them, they can sometimes hide in the most disparate places, even in extensions di Chrome. This time it is in fact among the Google browser add-ons that the threat hides, in particular two ad blockers to be removed as soon as possible.
The news came from Reddit, through the report of a user, Jammed_Death, who shed light on some strange behavior recently detected on the two offending extensions. It is about nanodefender e nanoadblocker and, before acting like malware, like every ad blocker self-respecting were installed to block unwanted advertising and banners on websites around the network. Now, however, their original function has ceased to exist, two o'clock Chrome extensions they would act as a vehicle for user information that would be sent to a group of developers, unrelated to its creator.

According to what was told on Reddit, it all started with the sale of the two extensions by its developer to a "group of Turkish developers", as they would have been defined by the same creator during a conversation about Github, the hosting service for software projects. Nothing strange, except that now user data is sent to servers in corners of the globe not yet fully known to users.
Nanodefender and nanoadblocker: you have to remove them immediately
According to the original developer, the best way to get rid of the problem would be to remove the two extensions immediately. In the meantime, he himself has reported the add-ons a Google, thus giving rise to an automatic removal procedure by the browser.
In fact, when this is done, it is directly Chrome to provide for the direct elimination of the extension, preventing it from being inadvertently installed due to user distraction. However, this does not happen in Microsoft Edge, despite the close link with the Google browser since it is also based on the web browser Chromium, created by the Mountain View giant.
The serious security problem, on the other hand, would not have affected the version of theextension released for the browser Mozilla Firefox. The Mozilla Foundation web client add-on would have been developed by another person, unrelated to the issue that affected the Chrome version, and should take the same risks for the time being.
