Preliminary information
Before getting to the heart of the tutorial, going to explain how connect the AirPods to Samsung, there are some preliminary information, in this regard, which it is my duty to provide you.
Let's start from a fundamental premise: the AirPods, both those of before that of second generation, as well as the Pro model, are earphones designed primarily for Apple-branded devices.
The AirPods, in fact, are equipped with a chip (H1), which allows the automatic recognition su iPhone e iPad when the charging case is opened and which automatically activates the earphones when they are worn, as long as the Bluetooth is enabled on iOS / iPadOS and the devices are neighbors among them, as I explained to you in detail in my tutorial on the subject.
When the AirPods are recognized by the iPhone and iPad, they become immediately usable also on all the other devices connected to the same Apple ID, without the need to repeat the above operations.
As for the association made directly on MacInstead, the procedure to follow is different: you need to select the AirPods from the list of Bluetooth devices available in the macOS settings.
The above procedure is practically the same that must be adopted in the case of any other computer and device that supports Bluetooth connectivity, including non-Apple branded smartphones and tablets.
The only thing to take into account when using the AirPods on Samsung devices or any other device that is not distributed by the "bitten apple" company is that not all the functions offered by the earphones are usable.
The available features are the basic ones, so to speak. To take advantage of the advanced functions, such as the ability to check the battery charge status of the earphones, in the specific case of smartphones and tablets it is necessary to resort to the use of some third-party apps.
